Know Wonder with Franca Leeson
Nov. 24-28, 2010 (Wednesday afternoon to Sunday lunch)

What do you know?
What do you wonder?

Awakening moments can happen at any time, but they tend to occur when our defenses are down: when our mental gates are left ajar, unattended by our sense of identity. They are like accidents. To paraphrase Trungpa Rinpoche, our task, as meditators, is to become more accident-prone. Take a weekend to practice being accident-prone through breath meditation, insight techniques, and direct awareness.

This retreat is most suitable for people with at least a year of meditation experience and a consistent daily practice, although less experienced meditators can be accommodated with some preparatory work.

Franca Leeson has been teaching Buddhist meditation since 2000. She took refuge with Chöje Lama Namse Rinpoche in Toronto in 1981. Since then she has received teachings and initiations from senior Tibetan teachers, including Kalu Rinpoche, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Thrangu Rinpoche, Ponlop Rinpoche, and others. These days she studies in the Dzogchen tradition with Ruth Gilbert and Jon Parmenter, and benefits greatly from the mentoring, encouragement, and friendship of Ken McLeod.

Her particular interest is in helping people develop their own meditation practice in the context of a full "outside" life, whatever that includes: work, children, marriage, family responsibilities. Contact Franca at 647-686-6809 www.lookagain.ca
